Who we are

Botroost is made and sold by Jett Coffeen, an individual based in Texas, USA (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at heco5533@gmail.com.

What you’re buying

Botroost is a macOS app (macOS 14 Sonoma or later) that turns your desktop into a live hub for your AI agents: each agent you connect gets a light that’s on while it works, next to panels such as a clock, weather, calendar and activity. It’s a one-time purchase of $9.99 (plus any sales tax or VAT added at checkout). There’s no subscription and no in-app purchases. Prices may change for future buyers; that never affects a purchase you already made.

You download the app as a disk image (DMG). Botroost updates itself: it checks botroost.com once a day and installs signed updates. You can turn automatic checks and installs off in Settings › General. Updates and new styles are included at no extra cost for as long as we offer them, but we can’t promise any particular future feature or style.

Payment: Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record

Checkout, payment, tax and receipts are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record (the reseller) for Botroost. Your payment is made to Lemon Squeezy, and its Buyer Terms also apply to the purchase. We never see or store your card details.

Your license

After checkout you get a license key. It gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Botroost on up to 3 Macs that you own or control, for as long as you like. You can move an activation from one Mac to another (Botroost limits how often a key can be moved in one day, to stop key sharing).

You may not:

• share, publish, sell or give away your license key, or let others use it beyond your 3 Macs;
• resell, rent or redistribute the app or its installer;
• remove, bypass or tamper with the license check;
• use Botroost for anything unlawful.

You’re welcome to customize the included styles (colors, fonts, panels, layout) and to write your own plugins and panels for your own use. Botroost and its styles remain our property (or our licensors’); fonts and other third-party components included in the app are used under their own licenses.

If you break these terms, we may disable the license key involved. We’ll only do that for a real reason, such as a shared or stolen key, fraud or a chargeback.

Refunds

All sales are final. Botroost is a digital product delivered right away, so we don’t offer refunds for a change of mind. Please check the requirements (macOS 14 or later) and the screenshots before you buy.

This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live. As merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy may also issue a refund under its Buyer Terms, for example if a technical problem prevents delivery. If Botroost doesn’t work on your Mac, email us first; we’ll do our best to fix it.

Your agents, plugins and data sources

Botroost shows what your agents and scripts report to it. You choose which agents to connect, and you’re responsible for the agents, plugins, API keys, calendar links and data sources you use with it, and for following those services’ own terms (some free data sources only allow personal, non-commercial use). No warranty

We work hard to make Botroost reliable, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, that it will work with every Mac, display, macOS version or agent, or that third-party data will be accurate or available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from Botroost or this site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Botroost. Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when Botroost changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Changes don’t apply retroactively to a purchase you already made, and the license you bought stays yours.
