A few things worth saying plainly about what Botroost is, and isn’t.
Not affiliated with the AI apps it shows
Botroost is an independent product by Jett Coffeen. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the makers of any AI agent, app or service it can display or connect to. Product names mentioned on this site, such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot, Mac and macOS, are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe what Botroost works with.
Agent status is what your agents report
Botroost shows a light, status and activity lines that your agents and scripts send to it. It doesn’t run, control, monitor or check the work of your agents, so what it shows is only as accurate as what they report. Don’t rely on it to know whether an important task actually succeeded.
Weather, market and other data are shown as is
Weather comes from MET Norway (CC BY 4.0); calendar, market prices, air quality, news and other panels come from the plugins and services you choose. Sun and moon times are calculated on your Mac. All of this is shown as received, may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and can stop working if a service changes. It’s for general information only: not a safety or weather warning service, and not financial or investment advice. Check an official source before making decisions that matter.
Software provided as is
Botroost is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We can’t guarantee it will be free of bugs or work with every Mac, display, macOS version or agent. Back up your work as you normally would. Our full warranty and liability terms are in the Terms of Use.
Third-party plugins and links
Plugins you add and websites we link to are run by others. We aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and you use them under their own terms.
